Robbie Hastings - Stylist

Bio:  Robbie began his career as a hair stylist at Hutzler’s department store in Baltimore in 1981.  A native Marylander, Robbie trained at the Continental Beauty School in Glen Burnie and is a former educator for Farouk products.  He has also completed advanced coursework with the Graham-Webb International Academy.

Robbie has been to the Goldwell Academy in Santa Monica, California for color, cutting and styling techniques.  He also has extensive product knowledge using Goldwell hair color and styling products along with KMS styling products.  He has also taken a 3-day color succession course on all color techniques and products to achieve the best results for his client’s hair.  He also took a corrective color class with Goldwell and achieved the highest compliments on his technique and is now certified as an educator with Goldwell.

Robbie’s favorite hair assignments involve color because, “it is instant gratification and instant change.”  He enjoys foils and highlights and is an expert in corrective color.  Robbie explains that he loves his career because, “I get to have conversations all day and be creative and create new styles.”

“I’m very lucky,” Robbie says of his long time customers, “they are very loyal to me.”  Even after moving to Florida, his customers flocked back to him on his return.  Robbie describes how his clients call him for fashion and make-up advice after he updates their color.  “Everything changes when you change hair color,” Robbie explains.
